Syntethic PVT Experiments

Moving on to the Synthetic PVT Experiments, we could simulate experiments at given conditions and for given compositions. This is useful if we lack experimental data, but would like to estimate the fluid behavior through the typical experiments ran by the laboratory.

First Look

Upon entering the page, we see the following inputs.

For the conditions, we now input a 'maximum' pressure, and our reservoir temperature. Given that the experiments span a range of pressures, we simply input the highest value that we want to start our experiment from.

Try to:

  1. Select a max pressure above your saturation pressure
  2. Use an 'adjusted' PVT sample's composition, and fill in the reservoir temperature found in the sample data.
  3. Remove a stage from the surface processing, so that you flash your fluid to atmospheric conditions
  4. Download two of the graphs to be attached to your certificate request mail.

Next Step

Having done the workflow, you can move on to the Fluid Model Validation feature
