Syntethic PVT Experiments

With the Synthetic PVT Experiment feature, we can simulate experiments at given conditions for various compositions. This is useful if we lack experimental data, but would still like to estimate the fluid behavior.

First Look

Upon entering the page, we see the following inputs.

For the conditions, we now input a 'maximum' pressure, and our reservoir temperature. Given that the experiments span a range of pressures, we simply input the highest value that we want to start our experiment from.

Workflow

To simulate our initial results and progress towards the certificate, try to:

  1. Select a max pressure above your saturation pressure
  2. Use an 'adjusted' PVT sample's composition, and fill in the reservoir temperature found in the sample data.
  3. Remove a stage from the surface processing, so that you flash your fluid to atmospheric conditions
  4. Run the calculation, and download one of the graphs generated to be attached to your certificate request mail.
